[00:00:00] In this video, you'll learn how to create and use Smart Lists in your Profit Platform CRM. So to get started, first, you need to log into your CRM, at crm.profitplatform.com, as it's shown up here, and then go to your Contacts tab. And on your Contacts tab, you'll see the list of all of the contacts that have come into your CRM. And most of them you'll notice are going to have tags like “new_lead” etc., so there may be only one record that isn't tagged and that would be the one that's for your email address, which is set up by default in the CRM. Which is true for this one, this is that record for me. So you'll notice that there are these different tags over here, which indicate various things about your contacts here.
[00:00:44] So in this CRM the “new_lead” tag indicates that the contact came in as a new lead from my website, which is kittycareacademy.com, which you can see over here. And so then The other tag that you see here is “customer.” And that is indicating that they actually were somebody who purchased. And then lastly, I have this other tag for someone who actually went through the workflow. So they were lead and they completed the workflow. So why I'm going over these tags is because this is what you use to create smart lists.
[00:01:14] In the Profit Platform CRM, there's not really a concept of a list, but you use tags to categorize, and then you can create what are called Smart Lists. And so the easy way to do that is to come over here to the filters section, and then click on tag.
[00:01:32] Now you can use any of these attributes in here to create a list if you'd like to, but for this example, I'm just going to show you how to create a Smart List using the “customer” tag. So I'm going to click on “Tag,” and then I want to select here that the “tag is customer.” So there's “customer,” I'm going to click that and then actually I don't need to set anything else in here. Simply if there is a customer tag on the contact record, then it will add it to this filter, and now I'm going to click apply. And then you see right down here, there's this button that you can click here to save this as a Smart List. So I'm going to do that, and I'm going to name it “Customer list,” and then click save. And so you can see the two contact records here that have the tag “customer” have been saved as a Smart List named “Customer list,” and it's right here, next to “All,” which if you click on All, that will take you back to the full list of all of your contacts, and then if I just want to see my customers, I can click here to just see the customers.
[00:02:42] And then what I can do with this also is that if I wanted to send all my customers an email, then I can simply select this. And one thing that you don't see right now, but does happen if you have more than one page of customers, is if you click this to select all, it will select the first page, but then there will be a notification here, and it'll say “do you want to select all records?” And then you can click that to select all of your records for this list. And then, say, for example, if you wanted to send an email, you could use send email.
[00:03:17] So there's other actions you could take on your list as well once you've selected them all, and you can see those here, you could add a tag. If you want to you can remove a tag. You could delete them etc. And so there's a lot of different actions you could take here. In fact, if you wanted to, if you created an additional automation workflow, for example, to promote a product, one thing you could also do would be to add them to an automation.
[00:03:43] And so this is another way you could bulk add customers to an automation. The other way you could do it would be to create the automation and then actually use a tag as the trigger for the automation, and then you could just simply come in here and add that tag to all of your customers, for example, and then that would put them into the workflow. And so that is how to create and use a Smart List.
